Your rights and responsibilities when using TornW3B

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using TornW3B ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

TornW3B is a community-driven service that aggregates bazaar listings from the Torn online game community. The service helps players find items, track pricing trends, and access market data across player bazaars. Optional Premium trade tools (currently a paid beta) add purchase/sale tracking, profit analysis, and related automation for subscribers. This is a non-commercial project developed and maintained by Weav3r.

3. User Responsibilities and Prohibited Activities

3.1 Torn API Key Usage

When you provide your Torn API key to TornW3B:

  • You must be the rightful owner of the Torn account associated with the API key
  • You acknowledge that your bazaar listings will be made publicly visible on TornW3B
  • You can revoke access at any time by deleting your account or disabling API usage in settings
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API key
  • If you enable Premium trade sync, you authorize TornW3B to use your key to read Torn log entries needed for those tools, as described in the Privacy Policy

3.1a Faction Hub Contribution (factions.weav3r.dev)

When you sign in on factions.weav3r.dev with a Torn API key:

  • You authorize TornW3B to use that key only for Torn faction-related requests your key's permissions and selections allow (for example attacks or roster data for your faction)
  • For allowlisted 39th Street factions, signing in may enroll an eligible key into that faction's data rotation even when the full hub product UI is not yet unlocked
  • If your key lacks required permissions for a given request, TornW3B will not use it for that request; you may still remain signed in
  • Access to the full Factions hub product for non-allowlisted factions requires a premium subscription (not generally available yet)
  • You can stop contribution by removing the key, rotating it in Torn, or deleting your TornW3B account / disabling API usage in settings

3.2 Premium Trade Tools (Paid Beta)

Premium is an optional paid beta feature set. By subscribing or using Premium tools, you agree that:

  • Access is typically granted by sending Xanax (Torn item ID 206) to Weav3r with the exact comment W3B (case-insensitive). Quantity equals weeks of access (1 Xanax = 1 week). Payment detection reads Weav3r's Torn item-receive logs using the site master API key, not your personal key.
  • After subscribing, Premium trade sync is still opt-in. Enabling sync requires an API key with Torn log permission and authorizes periodic log reads for buys, sells, and trade status as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • Premium is provided as a beta: bugs, inconsistencies, incomplete data, downtime, and changing features should be expected. TornW3B does not guarantee accuracy of profit, ledger, overflow, museum, or receipt status data.
  • Subscription length, pricing (in Xanax), and available features may change. Unused time is not automatically refundable except at Weav3r's discretion (for example, payment detection errors).
  • Weav3r may grant, extend, revoke, or adjust Premium access manually when needed for support or abuse prevention.

3.3 Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use the service to:

  • Bot abuse: Use automated tools or bots to systematically scrape TornW3B data for buymugging purposes
  • Malicious server activities: Attempt to hack, disrupt, or perform denial of service attacks against TornW3B servers
  • Unauthorized access: Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or bypass security measures
  • Automated abuse: Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to spam the service or make excessive requests
  • Violate Torn City rules: Use the service in violation of Torn City's Terms of Service or game rules
  • Commercial misuse: Use the service for commercial purposes without authorization
  • Scamming and deceptive trading: Use the platform to scam or deceive other users through price-switching, price-baiting, or similar tactics that misrepresent listed prices or bait buyers into unfavorable trades

Users who engage in scamming, price-switching, price-baiting, or other deceptive trading practices may be banned from TornW3B at Weav3r's sole discretion, with or without prior notice.

Service Usage Guidelines

Normal buymugging using TornW3B data is permitted as part of standard Torn gameplay. This policy specifically targets automated bot abuse that places excessive load on the service. TornW3B is not responsible for any consequences resulting from buymugging activities, and TornW3B will not restrict access for normal gameplay usage.

4. Data and Privacy

Key points:

  • Your API key is stored securely in TornW3B's database
  • Your bazaar listings are made publicly visible as this is the core purpose of the service
  • No data is sold or shared with third parties
  • All data persists until you explicitly delete your account
  • Premium sync and Premium payment detection are described in the Privacy Policy (user key logs vs master-key receive logs)

5. Service Availability and Disclaimer

TornW3B is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. TornW3B does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond TornW3B's control.

6. Limitation of Liability

TornW3B is a free community service provided "as is" without warranties. TornW3B is not liable for any damages resulting from your use of the service, including but not limited to:

  • Inaccuracies in bazaar listing data, pricing information, or Premium profit / ledger / trade-status data
  • Service interruptions or temporary unavailability
  • Loss of data due to technical issues
  • Any consequences of sharing your API key with others or if your API key becomes compromised
  • Game-related losses or impacts on your Torn City account
  • Missed, delayed, or incorrectly applied Premium payments or subscription length

API Key Security: If you share your Torn API key with others or if it becomes compromised through your own actions, you should immediately reset it on Torn City. TornW3B is not responsible for consequences resulting from your misuse of your API key. However, if your API key is compromised due to a security breach on TornW3B's part, TornW3B will take appropriate responsibility and work to resolve the issue.

By using TornW3B, you acknowledge that you are using the service at your own risk and that the service is provided for informational purposes only.

7. Termination

TornW3B reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to the service immediately, without prior notice, for violation of these Terms of Service, including but not limited to prohibited activities outlined in section 3.3. You may also terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the service interface.

8. Changes to Terms

TornW3B reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be announced publicly on the TornW3B Discord server and Torn forum thread. Your continued use of the service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms of Service.
