## What is Torn City?

Torn is a free text-based online RPG set in Torn City: a dark, murky underworld where only the sharpest survive. You build a character to whatever strengths you want and play it your way. It is massively multiplayer, with thousands of active players around the world. Join them, attack them, befriend them, trade with them, compete with them. Official site: https://www.torn.com

### What goes on in Torn City

- Start weak: New players start poor and fragile. Other players will mug or hospitalize you for pocket change if you leave yourself open.
- Get dirty: Earn money and status by committing crimes, attacking other players, and training hard in the city gyms.
- More than fighting: Trade items, invest in stocks, work a job or run a company, race cars, start or join a faction, claim territory.

### Your path, your pace

- Be anyone, do anything: No forced campaign and no set build. Do what you want, when you want.
- Simple goal, long road: Build a new life. Get to the top. Try not to get killed. Choose any route. There is no quick path to the top and the world never resets.
- Marathon, not a sprint: You will not top a leaderboard or become a billionaire overnight. It is a grind with a real learning curve. Your character and the economy just keep going.
